Giving and Fundraising

Ensuring that not one of Jesus’ little ones is lost…

There are a number of ways for you or your parish to get involved with The Children's Society…

  • Use our worship resources to help you to involve children and young people in your church but also to raise awareness of the needs of other children and young people in the UK
  • Support us as part of your home mission giving
  • Get involved in local events organised by our volunteers or our national Walk and Explore Summer events
  • Contact us about possible partnership work to directly help children and young people in your area such as outreach and support groups – either working with our existing projects or setting up new initiatives
  • Have a recycling skip in your church car park or area. Working within the ‘Shrinking the Footprint’ campaign, we can offer you a recycling bin for your parish. This initiative not only helps to recycle old clothes and goods for use in our shops and to create profit for our work with children and young people, but also helps to sustain local businesses in developing countries
  • Parish fundraising: Encourage volunteers to support our work by giving talks or organising fundraising events and house collection boxes
  • Flowers or Futures: Encourage your congregation to consider donations to The Children's Society instead of flowers at funeral services
  • Pray for our work, supporters and volunteers

In addition we offer a training resource for CME and IME and have a wealth of information regarding working and participating with children and young people.

The Children's Society works together with The Church of England Children’s Work Advisers, the National Worship Development Officer and the Liturgical Commission to produce a number of liturgical resources to support you in your ministry:

We are constantly developing our resources and would welcome feedback on what you would find useful in your ministry.
