The STARS project supports children and young people aged three to 18 who know someone in their family who uses drugs or alcohol.
Adult drug and alcohol misuse can and does cause serious hidden harm to children from conception to adulthood. They can experience health and social consequences, emotional, behavioural and educational difficulties as well as witnessing and being subjected to violence.
Our staff aim to give children and young people a safe and confidential place where they can talk about and address their worries or concerns.
The STARS project is flexible and can work in schools, family centres, at the project or in the community. The staff offer one-to-one work, group work and a Children and Young People’s Forum.
