Disability Toolkit: helping you to give disabled children and young people a voice

Are you a frontline professional working with disabled children and young people? Are you looking for extra support and guidance in order to be confident when involving them in participation and decision-making activities?

If you are, then The Children's Society Disability Toolkit is for you.

Here at The Children’s Society we understand your professional priorities and requirements and know how hard it is to keep up-to-date with new resources, research and policy. That is why we have developed a fantastic new website called Disability Toolkit that holds a database of resources and links focused on providing you with the advise you need to encourage and empower disabled young people in decision-making and participation activities. These resources have been sourced from a wide range of organisations, including but not limited to The Children’s Society. The website allows you to download resources as well as upload your own, so that you can easily access and share best practice.

You can also use the site to find out current national and international policy and research information; read case studies that outline the experiences of disabled children and young people from their perspective and practice and news from The Children’s Society’s disability projects.
