Children’s Rights Torbay is based in Paignton, Devon, and provides services for children and young people who are - or have been - involved with Torbay Council Children’s Services Department.
Run by a small, skilled and enthusiastic team of staff, this established project is respected for its success in making sure that the voices of children and young people are heard. The team works hard to ensure that these youngsters are listened to on both an individual and collective basis. They do this primarily by enabling children and young people to put forward their views about issues that affect their lives and to participate in decisions that are made about their future.
On a broader level, the staff also give support to children and young people by taking time to understand their needs and thereby enabling them to influence the planning, development and delivery of those services within Torbay that they access.
