Lewisham Children’s Fund Participation Project co-ordinates children’s consultation and participation for Lewisham Children’s Fund. The project has a remit to promote and support youth participation within all projects and services in the borough.
This has included capacity building through participation audits, consultations and by providing training for voluntary and statutory groups. This strengthens the borough’s commitment to ensure that the voices and opinions of children and young people are being heard when decisions that affect their lives are taken.
Over the past year, the focus has also been extended as part of the widening scope of the project. It now includes working with the Youth Service and young people aged 13-plus.
