What are our goals for the future?
To continue to work towards developing significant support in education and welfare for children and young people. In particular, to:
· Extend group and one to one support work relating to inclusion in secondary schools through Leading Edge
· Develop training resources for schools, including DVDs developed by young people
· Continue to develop the personal advisor service and increase outreach through group work opportunities in partnership with Leeds libraries and a church partnership.
· Focus on the needs of unaccompanied asylum seeking children through planned group work
· Continue to support children to settle into education by working closely with Education Leeds Admissions team
· Increase use of volunteers for mentoring and educational support for refugee and asylum seeking children
