What has been our greatest achievement in the past two years?
The Lucy Faithful Award, in recognition of LEAP’s contribution to participation of children and young people.
Also, in 2006, LEAP piloted a six-week group work programme with 14 young people who needed to develop their language skills and confidence to access education, training and employment opportunities. The young people were highly motivated and did move on to mainstream education. This led to our involvement in a pilot project in Leeds to explore additional ways of supporting children to access appropriate education.
