We are a primary and secondary schools project working to develop and promote the inclusion and transition of all children and young people into mainstream education.

Since 1995, the Genesis project has supported children and young people, parents and schools in Greenwich, Lewisham, Southwark and in 2008 Lambeth to ensure children are included in school education. Our office known as ‘The Base’ is in Deptford, South East London.

The core aims of the project are to:

  • Develop and promote the inclusion and transition of children and young people in mainstream education.
  • That young people who are at risk have access to the help they want and need.
  • Develop and facilitate forums, which give young people a voice and promote participation and involvement in decision-making processes within the school and the project.
  • Influence systems to bring about positive change, which will benefit children and young people, parents, schools and the wider community.

To achieve these aims the project works in very close partnership with children and young people, parents, schools and it’s internal agencies, Local Authorities and external agencies so that we can improve education opportunities for all those we come into contact with.
