Anti-bullying Team
The aim of The Children’s Society in Rochdale Anti-bullying Team is to provide systems that will protect children and young people from bullying.
In Rochdale, we aim to:
· Train those charged with the care of children in Rochdale to feel confident in addressing bullying from a preventative or reactive point of view
· Ensure that all facilities in Rochdale have effective and practical procedures and policies in order to protect children from bullying
· Provide children and young people with accessible and adequate opportunities to disclose bullying in any of their care facilities
Many topics can be covered in the classroom, including behaviour and friendship issues, anti-bullying, disability and cultural diversity awareness.
Although our service aims to be fully inclusive at all times, we have also got a dedicated inclusion worker who works closely with schools on ensuring all students, whatever their ability or culture enjoy school life.
We aim to put bullying on the agenda of services that can help to protect children and young people from bullying. Everyone on the team has worked in this field for many years and all have varied professional backgrounds.
