Hundreds and Thousands of childhood memories

About the campaign

It seems that many of our best childhood experiences have been lost to today’s generation. The Children’s Society wants to change this and you can help. We are gathering Hundreds and Thousands of childhood memories from members of the public to build up a picture of childhood over the years, and to see what we can learn from our past experiences of growing up in the UK.

We want to learn about your best childhood experiences so that today's children can benefit from them.

Read here about the favourite childhood memories of MPs that have supported our campaign.

The Children's Society is currently conducting research to support The Good Childhood® Inquiry, the UK s first independent inquiry into what makes a good childhood. Providing your memory will add to our understanding of what makes for a good childhood.

Once you’ve provided your memory, we would like to keep you informed about the inquiry's findings. The Children's Society wish to encourage a open debate on what makes for a good childhood and would like as many people as possible to contribute.

Together we can make childhood better in the UK. Take a look at memories from celebrities and people across the UK already collected and add your own favourite childhood memory.
