Programme Manager: Chloe Grant
Our advocates support children and young people to:
- have their voices heard
- express their views in the decision-making process
- understand their rights
- make a complaint
Our advocates are instructed by the child or young person, and express their views, not ours. Information that children and young people tell our advocates is confidential unless they or another person is at risk.
Young people we support
We can support a Havering young person if they are:
- under 18
- living in care in or out of borough
- leaving care
- a Child in Need
- subject to a Child Protection Plan
How to refer on behalf of a child or young person
You can make a referral on behalf of a child or young person by completing a referral form and emailing it to us at: HaveringAdvocacy@childrenssociety.org.uk or phoning us on 01708 434609 (Havering Advocacy Line).
How to self-refer
Are you a young person under-18 supported by Havering Children’s Services? Are you living in care in or out of borough, leaving care, on a Child Protection Plan or a Child in Need?
We have trained staff called advocates who can help you if you don’t feel like your voice is being heard.
